Suburb house

The project involves adapting a semi-detached house from the 1950s to the needs of a large family. As modern family life no longer takes place strictly in individual rooms, a large shared living space was to be created. To this end, the ground floor was opened up and the attic utilised. The combination of living and play areas creates a feeling of togetherness. On the outside, the house opens up towards the garden with a glass veranda, but remains largely unchanged towards the street in order to preserve its original character. The interior of the house has been completely remodelled to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, with natural materials such as wood in various finishes dominating. Colours are used deliberately to create lively accents. The original charm of the house has been retained, while at the same time it has been designed to be modern and functional for today's family life.
