Europe's biggest award for ecological and social commitment

KEIM is nominated for the 17th German Sustainability Award

KEIMFARBEN is proud to have been nominated for the German Sustainability Award in the paints and coatings category for the third time in a row. This nomination confirms our position as the world's leading specialist in mineral building protection and our ability to combine economic success with environmental awareness and social responsibility.

In 2024, the German Sustainability Award will honour companies that make pioneering contributions to the transformation towards a sustainable future for the 17th time. With inspiring examples, the award shows how ecological and social progress can be accelerated. As the largest award of its kind in Europe, the DNP sets standards and motivates businesses and the municipal sector to act sustainably in order to establish successful solutions across the board. In the 'Coatings and paints' category, it honours companies that are pioneers in the more sustainable production of paints, varnishes and stains.

Sustainability is part of our DNA: company founder A.W. Keim already focussed on responsibility towards future generations over 145 years ago. His motto 'Working for future generations so that things will be better on earth' still characterises KEIMFARBEN today.

We achieved a major success in terms of sustainability in 2022: over 60 of our products received Cradle to Cradle Certifiedยฎ certification in silver and the C2C Certified Material Health Certificateโ„ข in gold. These products account for over 80 % of our sales in the most important product range.

We are taking another significant step towards a circular economy: over 80 % of our containers are now made from post-consumer recyclate (PCR) - recognisable by the characteristic grey rim of our buckets.

On 28 November 2024, the prestigious German Sustainability Award (DNP) will be presented in Dรผsseldorf. We at KEIM are full of anticipation and hope to reach the final. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
